   Do Husbands Feel Challenged By, “Jesus Christ Is The Head Of This House”?
   
   In The Living Room, The Prints on The Plaque Reads, "Jesus Christ Is The Head Of This House, The Silent Listener Of Every Conversation, The Unseen Guest In Every Meal".

   In a Christian home Christ is the spiritual head and the man is expected be head of the home. IE at supper the man asks for grace over the table and as for day to day operations, each family member does as they should and major decisions are discussed between husband and wife with prayer for guidance.
   Example might be - You want to go on vacation but are in debt allready so can't really afford it. Pray and ask the Lord what to do and He will give examples such as "A person is a slave to whom they owe" The answer is No. The husband in a Christian home will welcome the guidance.

   I am a husband of eighteen years and in my house this is an unchallenged point. It has already been well stated by can do it, but I feel like it is my responsiblity to drive the tenor of the mood concerning the religious dialogue in our home. Christ expects husbands and fathers to shepherd their flock according to his example.

   I think a lot of them do.And what i think is the most
   damaging to the leadership is that they don't have the
   knowledge of God for direction.What they have in
   knowledge does not solve family problems nor help to understand spiritual existence.Therefore they are lost
   in a dark time span.

    I do welcome the statement which says " Jesus Christ Is The Head Of This House  - I refer to is an authority bestowed to me ( the husband ) from God Almighty.
    
    In my house this sign is clearly displayed and it reminds me of my duties and responsiblities to my wife and children. I have to live up to it .Amen .

    I don't at all, Christ is the head of this house and I am HIs servant to do HIs will in my home and in my life. I have to be obedient to HIm and work my best to do HIs will.  I find it an honor that Christ is head of my house.

    I am a husband and I feel very secure knowing that Jesus is the head of my household. He can do a far better job at this than I can. If one is insecure about this then perhaps there is still some wounding or past hurts one need to deal with, which may come from having a dad who was not a good head of his household.
    No husban who is a follower of Christ should feel insecure or challenged by Having Jesus as the head of the houshold

    They should not feel challenged if Christ is indeed the head of their house.  I certainly feel challenged when I slip out of relationship with Christ.  If they do they can always come back.  God will forgive them and they can deepen their relationship with him.  Sometimes God will allow us to be challenged just so we will draw closer to him.  That makes our walk stronger.

    Do I feel challenged? No. Husbands and fathers are suppose to lead the family spiritually, emotionally, and financially. The husband and father follows God, leading the rest of the family to Him by setting the example.
    
    Before someone asks, no, IMHO, this leadership is not suppose to be used to browbeat the other family members into following Christ.
    
    In my house, I try to lead by example, God's example.

    My father always felt reassured by the hierarchy- God, man, woman, children, dogs, cats, fish. 
    
    I just reread the question and note that Jesus did not claim to be head of the house, he indicated that we should make God head of the house. 
    
    This changes things, because God is the Father of Jesus and therefore transforms our Spirit consciousness into a more expansive universe.
    
    I guess what you are asking is, how do Husbands feel, asking what would Jesus do?  I can tell you that Jesus would ask, what would God the Father do?

    No, husbands should not feel challenged. Instead, there should be no one person in charge. In my opinion, that's an antiquated approach. Instead, it should be more of a union of the adults, more of a team approach. Thus, no specific person should be the "head of the house".That means the team---all equally important individuals--should include, the wife, the husband, and, yes, Jesus.

    If JC found himself head of this house he'd be up against Father Time, and I think Father Time would win hands down! As for unseen guests and silent listeners, I think he'd need to keep his hands free to cover his ears. He'd be out of here like a shot! I've got no challenges from outsiders. I'm my biggest taskmaster, and after me it's 'her indoors'.
    Still, there'd be plenty of space for a plaque if he ever needed wall space - just nobody would look after a first glance!
