   Why are gold-diggers nearly always female? Why not the other way round?
   
   Why is it that a man of over 40 yrs with a new Porsche is more likely to entice young women than a younger man with a similar sports car?

   Hugh Hefner was 86 when he married his 26 year old wife at the time a former centerfold. I don't believe there are many so called "hunks" in their 20s who would pursue a relationship with a woman in her 80s no matter how rich or famous she is!
   Men tend to place a higher value on youth and beauty when it comes to pursuing women.
   On the other hand many men regardless of age/looks believe if they become successful enough they can "have any woman they want".

   It's about lifestyle and confidence as well. Probably the younger men aren't treating the women with the same regard as an older man would.
   It seems like you have two questions here, so to answer the one regarding gold-diggers not being male. There are plenty. J.Lo was dating a man in his 20's that did not appear to be that financially solvent so I do believe it happens, perhaps it's less talked about.

   Let's step away from reality t.v. and back to reality. I've known a number of men who have encountered desperate women.  Educated, professionals, making more money than they make who are willing to take control, get a man, and make themselves a girlfriend/wife.  Women who have attained their own homes, secured careers, earned their education and are willing to date a man in their 30's-40's barely making ends meet.  They pay for dinners, fund vacations. ask men to move in, and are quick to introduce you to their family.  I've even heard of a woman offering to pay for a man's education. 
   Things are changing.

      I believe the real question here is: Why would an attorney, funeral director, educated, reality TV star (choose a known criminal) to be her spouse? When an old man chooses a "gold digger" to marry she's usually not wanted by the police.

      When women are desperate to get married (and controlling) they chose men they can control(not their equals). When you grow up in a culture that defines women by marriage/babies, a desperate "man hungry" culture of "take anybody/anything" exists.

      I believe certain women love "drama"! When you think about it anyone who wants to do a "reality show" is not likely to enjoy a peaceful relationship with an easy going spouse. I also believe a lot of men her "equal" wouldn't be attracted to her.

      I've observed women wanting to control men.You can't rule a successful man w/a backbone so you partner with people below your level, people you can control. Question: Why do you feel men on Phaedra Park's level would not be attracted to her?

      It's just my personal opinion. Most successful men don't want to deal with "drama". I also don't think she's all that attractive and her overall personality seems very self-centered. I suppose it's a requirement to be a "reality diva". Not my type

   Methinks, it has something to do with men and their pride and ego thing.
   
   You see, being a gold digger invariably also entails becoming the submissive, at least to some extent.
   
   And it is of no secret that (most) men don't play that submissive role so well.

      If you consider the "gigolo," who is male and preys on women for financial reasons, esp. OLDER women, it's the same in essence as the gold-digger, who is a female.  So, it's not that males don't prey on women for the same reason, especially today!

      I don't think the men rely on submission in their game.  They tend to target women with low self esteem and other issues.  They go for the easy bait because a secure woman will make them put in some work.

   Shoot.  In my neck of the woods men are just as money hungry but on a smaller scale.  For example, the females want houses and cars while the males want money for weed and Jordans.  Another thing I notice is that men are tighter with their money, which is why the females have to "dig" for it.  Women are generally more giving with the funds, especially ones with low self esteem.  They don't even make guys work for it.
