Years ago I thought LOL meant lots of love. You can imagine how inappropriate that ended up being in many of my text messages. Loving someone and laughing outloud at them...just isn't the same :D LOL

I never thought internet slang is as extensive as this already. I'm online for about 9 hours almost everyday but i only use the very basic acronyms and slangs, and that makes me feel like I'm a newbie.
This is very informative-I've always wondered what LMAO meant-lol!!!:-D It's great to know "internet lingo" and may be used for e-mailing friends and relatives (mainly friends), but as far as writing professionally, I think it's best to refrain from using such language:-).
